my Mission

Daniel Santos is a Portuguese nature photographer and filmmaker based in a small village near the picturesque city of Porto. With a lifelong passion for the natural world, Daniel grew up dreaming of becoming a biologist. He earned his degree in Biology from the University of Porto in 2015 and completed a master’s degree in Biodiversity, Genetics, and Evolution at the same institution in 2017. It was there that he discovered photography, a medium that quickly became a powerful extension of his love for nature.

Today, Daniel combines photography and filmmaking to tell meaningful stories about the natural world. His work is rooted in conservation, aiming not only to showcase nature’s beauty but also to raise awareness of the ecological challenges our planet faces. Whether through still images or moving visuals, he strives to create compelling narratives that inspire action and a deeper appreciation for the environment, giving a voice to those who have none.

Daniel’s approach is grounded in conservation photography, focusing on the protection of wildlife and wild places. His style is centered on storytelling—portraying subjects within their natural habitats, using light and thoughtful composition to evoke emotion and connection. Always looking beyond the obvious, he seeks out fresh perspectives and moments of genuine, raw beauty.
